Guide for choosing right connector when using Cat-5 cable:
■ For distance less than 50 meters (150 feet), use connector RJ-100 and get power from console directly
■ For distance between 50 to 150M (150 to 450 ft), use connector RJ-260DC,; Local power (DC12V) is required.
■ For distance over 150M (450 ft), use VT-300 which has separate DC in for local power and video amplifier to pre-boost video level
■ Suggested maximum distance is 300 meters (900 feet) for using Cat-5 cable |
